Objective:
To attract the child to the computer and increase his/her willingness to use it.
Rationale:
Kids who enjoy using computers will benefit most from technology. Finding fun activities will help keep the child engaged and motivated.
Technology Tool:
Zac Browser (available for free download at www.zacbrowser.com.
Basic Instructions:
Open the Zac Browser software ahead of time. Allow the student time to select media content or games and activities of her/his choice. On some occasions families have used YouTube videos as entertainment or rewards.
Things to Consider:
Please be aware that this software is an Internet browser, and it is possible to link to undesirable websites.
Progress:
May include increased time spent using the computer, learning to navigate the website or identifying preferred activities.
